Memorial Service will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at Sevier Funeral Home Chapel, Chickasha, Oklahoma under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Larry Joe Smith was born July 20 th , 1955 to Willie D. Smith and Stella M. (Nieto) Smith, in Seattle, Washington. They later moved to Chickasha, OK. He passed away on July 5, 2022 at Methodist Dallas Medical Center.

Larry grew up in Chickasha, OK, and graduated from Chickasha High School in 1973. He was a member of many clubs while in High School. He soon met and married Orie Kay (Fritz) Baxter. During their 17 years of marriage, they had 2 children, Melissa Dyane (Smith) Meadors and Christopher Michael Smith.

Larry worked in Retail Management for many years at Walmart and Anthony's. He later retired and moved to Dallas, Texas. Where he resided for 35 years.

Larry is preceded in death by his father Willie D. Smith, mother, Stella M. Smith, and brothers, Johnny Ray Smith and Jerry Bill Smith.

He is survived by his 2 children, daughter, Melissa Dyane Meadors, and husband Mike, son, Christopher M. Smith and wife, Jennifer; grandchildren, Taylor J. Smith and Alex C. Meadors; brother, Jimmy D. Smith, and many cherished cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A special thank you to Johnny Stafford, long-time best friend of 38 years.

Larry has left us with many wonderful memories that will be cherished forever. He is greatly missed and loved by us all.
