Funeral service for Lahoma A. Marlow, 94, of Tuttle will be held at 10:30 p.m., Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at the Tuttle First Baptist Church. Lahoma Arizona Marlow was born June 11, 1920 in Tuttle to Walter and Ethel (Bratcher) McCarthey. She died February 8, 2015 in Drumright, Oklahoma. She was raised in the Tuttle area and graduated from Tuttle High School in 1938. She lived in Oklahoma City for 45 years then came back to Tuttle in 1984. She worked as a hairdresser in Oklahoma City until she married the love of her life, George Wayne Marlow on July 23, 1943. They moved to Fresno, California where he was stationed at Hammer Field. After World War II, they returned to Oklahoma City where she opened Lahoma's Beauty Salon. She was a long time active member of Rancho Village Baptist Church. In retirement they moved back to Tuttle where they were members of the First Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Ethel McCarthey; her husband of 59 years, George W. Marlow; a daughter, Sheryle Kay Marlow; and a sister, Betty Marshall. She is survived by a daughter, Linda Waul and husband, Phil, of Cushing; a grandson, Philip Waul Jr. of Tuttle; a brother, Harold McCarthey of Tuttle; numerous nieces and nephews. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home of Tuttle.
