Lacquetta Joye Wyche (Mutz) of Elgin OK passed away in her home at the age of 73. She was born on September 6, 1948 in Anadarko OK to Lowell and Joye Mutz.
Lacquetta was raised most of her life around Ninnekah OK where she graduated from Ninnekah High school. Shortly after she married James Stephens and they had a son Michael Stephens on March 18, 1967 in Chickasha OK. Lacquetta and James got divorced and in later years she married Bryan Wyche in 1984. Lacquetta and Bryan farmed for many years around Alex and Ninnekah. They even moved to Montana for a many years before they decided to move back to Oklahoma and made Elgin their home. Lacquetta had a great love for animals, she would take in any abandoned animal that people would dump off. She loved her cats, dogs and watching the humming birds. She loved fishing, spending time with her son and grandchildren. She always loved to watch her grandchildren play baseball and wrestle. She was an avid garage sale goer.
Lacquetta worked at Gabriel Manufacturing, Sentry Manufacturing, Loves and several other jobs over the years. She attended Caddo Kiowa Technology Center where she got her LPN certificate. Lacquetta worked at Grady County Memorial Hospital and many nursing homes as well.
Lacquetta is preceded in death by her husband Bryan Wyche; her parents Lowell Mutz and Joye Bailey; her step father Jay Bailey; her grandson Devon Stephens.
Lacquetta is survived by her son Mike Stephens and wife Sonya of Chickasha OK; her grandsons Derek Stephens and wife Karen of Oklahoma City OK, Hobie Stephens of Chickasha OK; her great-grandson Noah Stephens of Oklahoma City OK; her Aunt Eva Williams and numerous cousins.
