 Kayla Jo Lovelady
September 7, 1988 – October 16, 2026

Kayla Jo Lovelady was born on September 7, 1988, in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Throughout her childhood, life took her from Chickasha to Fletcher, then to Indiana, and eventually to Missouri, where she graduated from Marshfield High School in 2007. It was during her years in Missouri that Kayla met one of her lifelong best friends, Tesia, along with many other special people who remained part of her life throughout the years.

After graduation, Kayla’s journey took her to Tennessee, where she formed even more lasting friendships, including those with two of her closest friends, Sam and Ashley. One of the beautiful things about Kayla was that wherever life took her, she made connections that lasted. The miles and years didn’t change the place these people held in her heart. She carried her friendships with her, and those who knew Kayla knew just how much her people meant to her.

Another very special part of Kayla’s life was her Graham’s family. Graham’s Country Night Club in Oklahoma City was so much more than a bar to Kayla. It was a place where friendships became family, where laughter was shared, and where countless memories were made. So many of Kayla’s photographs and happiest moments were with the people she loved there. Graham’s even held a special place in her journey as a mother, as it was where she celebrated Kennedy’s baby shower. Although Graham’s eventually closed its doors, the friendships and family Kayla found there remained part of her life.

Of all the roles Kayla held in her life, none was more important than being a mother to her two beautiful daughters, Kennedy and Kyndrix. They were the center of her world. She loved them fiercely, and so much of who Kayla was could be seen in the love she had for her girls. Kayla was a daughter, mother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend. She had a way of being present in people’s lives that made an impression. She was her own person, with her own opinions, her own way of doing things, and a love for those closest to her that was unmistakable. And of course, there was her music. Anyone who knew Kayla knew how much she loved Young Jeezy. Music was part of her personality, her friendships, and so many of the memories she made. There will always be certain songs that bring a smile, a laugh, or a memory of Kayla to those who loved her.

Family was an important part of Kayla’s story. Her mother, Shelly, shared her life with her through every chapter. Larry Stroud remained a special father figure in Kayla’s life, even after his marriage to her mother ended. Bryan Beavers also held an important place in her life as a trusted father figure, bringing her brothers Braxton and Colton into her family.

Kayla leaves behind her two beloved daughters, Kennedy and Kyndrix; her mother, Shelly, and Bryan Beavers; her four sisters, Halle and her husband Victor, Montana, Ashley and her husband James, and Lindsay; her brothers, Braxton and Colton; and her cherished nieces and nephews, Nevaeh, Saylor, Blaise, and Belin. She also leaves behind many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who were blessed to be part of her life. One of the most special relationships in Kayla’s life was the bond she shared with her beloved Nanny. Their connection was something truly special, and losing her Nanny eight years ago left a place in Kayla’s heart that no one could ever fill.

As difficult as it is to say goodbye to Kayla, her family finds comfort in knowing that she is finally reunited with her Nanny, someone she loved so deeply and missed so much. Kayla’s life was so much more than the illness she faced. She was the little girl who grew up in Oklahoma, the teenager who made lifelong friends in Missouri, the young woman who continued building friendships wherever life took her, and the mother who loved her two girls with everything she had. Her story doesn’t end here. It lives on in Kennedy and Kyndrix, in the people who loved her, in the songs that bring back memories, and in the stories that will be told for years to come. Kayla Jo will be deeply missed, forever loved, and remembered for the life she lived and the people she brought together.

A celebration of Kayla's life was held on Monday, October 19, 2026 at Sevier Funeral Home.
