Katie Wallace

Keitha Kay "Katie" Wallace was born September 5, 1936 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to Keith and Mabel (Burke) Wallace. She passed away on Monday, May 23, 2016 in Chickasha at the age of 79.

Katie grew up in Chickasha and graduated from Chickasha High School in 1954. She attended Oklahoma College for Women in 1960 and received her teaching education. She was a second grade teacher at Jackson School in Lawton, Oklahoma for 33 years.

She belonged to several organizations which included: ACT, PEAL, PTA, OEA, NEA, Red Cross and Retired Teachers. She was a member of First Christian Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Keith and Mabel Wallace; William T. and Elgia Burke; Roy and Mattie Wallace and her brother, Bill Wallace.

Katie is survived by:
2 nieces: Laurie Whitener and her husband, Kevin;
Nikki Moore and her husband, Jon-Ed;

Nephew, Justin Wallace and his wife, Kacey;

3 great nieces: Kristine & Bethany Whitener; and Jordan Wallace;
4 great nephews: Will and Liam Moore; Kaden and Keegan Wallace;
1 great-great niece, Evelyn Carey
