Funeral service for Kathryn Sue Davies will be held on Monday, November 4, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Grand Assembly of God Church. Kathryn was born on September 18, 1943 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Elmer White and Hazel (Owens) White. Kathryn passed from this life on October 30, 2024 in Norman, Oklahoma.

We are celebrating the long, full and happy life of Kathryn Sue Davies.

Kathryn loved to sing. When she was 9, she sang her first solo song in church. The song was "Near to the Heart of God", but she would only sing if her mother stood next to her. Later in high school, she was chosen for Girl's State to sing the solo "May the Good Lord Bless and Keep You". She also sang the "Lord's Prayer" at her high school graduation, where she was also the class Valedictorian. Kathryn was part of a group called Sextette Plus One, that sang at OSU and on a local television show.

As a military wife, she had the ability to travel the United States and live in a variety of places. All her children were born in Jacksonville, Florida. Her family finally settled in San Diego, California. In July 1978, Kathryn returned to work at Topaz Electronics. Just three short months later, Kathryn had a conversation with the vice president about programming. She impressed him so much, that the following Monday, he told Kenneth Davies that Kathryn was going to be his new computer operator, where she remained for 14yrs with Kenneth as her boss.

In 2000, Kathryn and Kenneth were married in Poway, California where they went on to have many adventures traveling the United States and Canada. They traveled most times with their grandkids sharing those adventures with them.

Kathryn loved ALL of her family and has said, "She truly enjoyed her life and thanks the Lord for His forgiveness and blessings".

Lastly, Kathryn said "I have had a life which is like climbing a very high mountain. When I reach the top, heaven will be there waiting for me".

She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Davies; her parents, Elmer and Hazel White; her daughter, Patricia Kay Savoy; her brother, Clyde White; and James Patrick Reams.

Loved ones left to remember her include her children, Jamie Belt & Jim Reams and wife Brandi; her grandchildren, Russell, Mason, Amanda, Kelsey, James, Edward, Aimee, Katelyn, Shawn, & Penelope; her great grands, Gemma (Gemini), Aubrie, MJ, Kassidy, & Malachi; her brother, James White; as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
