Karen Sue Jennings

Karen Sue Jennings, of Chickasha, was born March 6, 1956 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Carl and Opal (Hackney) Jennings. She passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at the age of 65, in Yukon, Oklahoma surrounded by her family.

Graveside Service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at Rose Hill Cemetery, Chickasha, Oklahoma under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Karen lived her whole life in Chickasha. She attended Chickasha Public Schools and graduated in 1976. After she graduated she went to work at for Maremont Factory that became Gabriel. She worked there for many years until she retired. After her retirement, she lived the rest of her life in Chickasha, OK. She was very active at the Grand Assembly of God Church her entire life and was a Sunday School teacher for many years. Karen was very talented. She was a vocalist and sang special music in church and in the church choir. Karen loved to take her nieces and nephews on vacations to Six Flags and other places. She enjoyed traveling with her roommate all over the Country. They traveled to Wyoming, Colorado, Tennessee and many other places.

Karen is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Opal Jennings; her infant brother, David; and her sister, Velda Wood.

She is survived by her brother, Bob Jennings and his wife Kara; as well as nieces and nephews, and even more great-nieces and great-nephews.
