Karen Cox

Karen Kay Cox passed from this life on June 8, 2023 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born October 3, 1946 to Orville and LaWanda (Dedmon) Gootee in Oklahoma City, OK.

Karen grew up in Oklahoma City and graduated from Grant High School. She married Harvey Cox in 1964. They lived in Del City, Oklahoma for several years while she worked at Tinker Air Force Base. Together Karen and Harvey had one son, Brady Cox in 1973. A few years after Brady was born they moved to Tuttle and she continued working at Tinker Air Force Base where she retired from after 25 years. Karen lived in Tuttle for the rest of her life. Karen enjoyed making ceramics and working with her hands. She loved to sew and made all of Brady's clothes.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Orville and LaWanda (Dedmon) Gootee, and her husband, Harvey Dale Cox.

Karen is survived by her son, Brady Cox; and grandsons, Brandon and Jordan Cox.
