Juan Mata

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. October 1, 2022 at First Baptist Church of Chickasha under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Juan Mata was born July 2, 1942 in Queretaro Mexico to Juan and Ramona Mata. He passed away September 28, 2022 in Chickasha Oklahoma.

Juan moved to the United States in the early 1970's. He worked at Lookeba and for Art Kell in the mid 70's. He worked for over half of his life for Hotshot and Art. He was a very hard worker, he would work every day if he could. He had a passion for farming and was very good at it. He planted peanuts, alfalfa and cotton. He also maintained the farm and tended to the livestock. Juan always provided for his family because, family was his number one priority. He married Rita Mata the love of his life in 1977. To this union they had four beautiful children. Juan was quite the jokester and was always fun to be around. He is the true definition of a family man.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife Rita Mata; his parents Juan and Ramona (Olmos) Mata; his siblings Agapito Mata, Beto Mata, Geronimo Mata, Dolores Mata.

He is survived by his daughters Oralia Delong and husband Russell, Deana Aparicio; his sons Jorge Mata and wife Maria, Jaime Mata and wife Veronica; his grandchildren Sarah Romero, Amanda Delong, Vanessa Delong, Jacob Delong, Joshua Delong, Daniel Ramirez, Marina Juarez, Ramiro Mata, Juan Mata, Janet Mata, Angelica Mata, Jamie Mata Jr., Jessica Mata, Jennifer Mata, Veronica Mata; his nephew Wbaldo Mata as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
