Joyce Mccoy

Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 27, 2020 at Resthaven Cemetery, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home, Tuttle, Oklahoma.

Wilma Joyce (Tarkington) Schnider McCoy, 86, of Tuttle, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at her home near Tuttle.  She was born August 23, 1933 in Guy, Arkansas to Jesse Douglas and Willie Myrtle (Horton) Tarkington.

Joyce grew up in Arkansas and as a teenager she met Bill Schnider.  They married in 1949 and later moved to Oklahoma.  Joyce worked at a various schools in Oklahoma City as a cook in the cafeteria.  Her latest job was at the Blackjack Grill at the Newcastle Gaming Center.  She had also cooked at the Tuttle Senior Citizen Center.

Bill had preceded her in death and she later married Pete McCoy where they made their home in Tuttle.

Joyce was a member of the Tuttle Primitive Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands Bill Schnider and Pete McCoy; a son, Andrew Clark Schnider and 6 brothers and sisters.

Joyce is survived by her daughter, Kathy Johnston of Oklahoma City, OK;

Son, Doug Schnider of Tuttle, OK;

Grandchildren: Keith Ellis, Jayce Schnider, Sara Schnider, and Andreanna;

Great granddaughters: Alicia Paredez, Archer Serenity Gillett-Hollingsworth and Ella Fay Ellis;

Great-Great Grandson, Kainan Harris;

Sisters:  Monteen Clements of Jacksonville, AR; and Lois Fay Nash of Cabet, AR.
