Joyce Eva Drennan-True

Joyce Eva Drennan-True was born June 18, 1931 in Blanco, Oklahoma to Clayton Floyd and Stella Irene (Duke) Carr.  She passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at her home in Ninnekah at the age of 85.

Joyce went to school at Agawam and Pocasset.  She married Harold Drennan in 1948 and lived in the Hawkins community until 1985 when they moved to Ninnekah.  Harold preceded her in death in 1997.  She married Roy True on April 5, 1997 in Ninnekah.

She was a member of Hawkins Freewill Baptist Church and had attended Hawkins Church from the age of 16.  She was always active in the church until health issues.

She had worked at Maremont (Gabriel) for 17 years retiring in 1996.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, Clayton and Stella Carr; her husband, Harold Drennan; and a sister, Marie Baxter.

She is survived by her husband, Roy True of Ninnekah, OK;
2 Daughters:  Sharon Adamek and her husband, Jim, of Ninnekah, OK;
Jackie White and her husband, Cletus, of Sterling, OK;

5 Grandchildren:  Joey Adamek of Dallas, TX;
Clay and Bonnie Adamek of Ninnekah, OK;
Eric and Farah Dorman of Bray, OK;
Kenny and Laura Dorman of Ada, OK;
Chris and Tracy Dorman of Chickasha, OK;

2 Step-grandsons: Pete and Jamie White of Sterling, OK;
Buck and Debbie White of Sterling, OK;

15 Great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren;

Step-son, Roy Lyndal True and his wife, Judy, of Alex, OK;
2 Step-daughters:  Linda and Ginger True of Chickasha, OK;

Step-grandchildren:  Jessica and Dillon Rosenhammer of Oklahoma City, OK;
Chad and Devin Gleave of Tuttle, OK;
Chad and Carrie True of Oklahoma City, OK;

3 step-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
