Joyce Elaine Berry

Joyce Elaine (Green) Berry, 90, longtime resident of Ninnekah, passed from this life Thursday, April 13, 2017, in Elk City. A memorial service is scheduled for 1 pm Saturday, April 22, 2017, at Sevier Funeral Home in Chickasha, Oklahoma, with Pastor Mike McCord officiating.

Joyce was born February 22, 1927, in El Campo, Texas, to James and Elizabeth (Hammond) Green. She grew up in South Texas surrounded by numerous siblings. As a young woman, she moved to Oklahoma spending many of her years on a farm in the Ninnekah area with her late husband Cecil (Dude) Berry. She loved driving a tractor and helping on the farm. Through the years, she enjoyed arts and crafts, raising tropical fish, collection antiques, senior citizen activities, and spending time with friends and family.

She is survived by her children Sandi Odom and husband Larry, of Elk City, Debbie Carr and husband Mark of Comanche, and Todd Berry and wife Donna of Ninnekah. Grandchildren Danny, Jeff, CJ, Josh, Sarah, Larren, Cyndi, Tony, Nick, Jeremy, Jennifer, Jessica, and Jerren, 29 great grandchildren , 3 great great grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, husband Dude, son Ronnie Stovall, and granddaughter Dana Stovall.
