Josie Smith

Josie Unruh Smith was born January 24, 1931 in Verden, Oklahoma to Edward and Ada (Nightingale) Unruh.  She passed away on Monday, July 11, 2016 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 85.

Mrs. Smith has lived in the Chickasha and Verden area her entire life.  She married Darvin Smith on March 26, 1951 at the Plainview Mennonite Church.  She was also a member of the Plainview Mennonite Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Inez Zeiset and brothers: Jesse Unruh, Eldon Unruh, John Unruh and several infant siblings.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Darvin Smith;

3 children:  Barbara Schmidt and her husband, Phillip;

Charles Smith and his wife, Delilah;

Thomas Smith and his wife, Denise;

10 grandchildren: Rusty Schmidt, Dustin Schmidt, Starla Smith, Marlin Smith, Troy Smith, Carlin Smith, Rashelle Koehn, Kevin Smith, Nicole Grove and Rolena Smith

16 Great grandchildren
