Josephine Lewis

Josephine J. Lewis, of Poteau, OK, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas at the age of 80.  She was born February 28, 1939 in Cumberland County, Kentucky, daughter of George and Alma (Ooten) Flowers.

She married James W. Lewis on July 23, 1955 in Crossville, Tennessee.  They moved from Kentucky to Chickasha in 1976 and she worked at Hermetic Switch until she retired.

She is a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Alma Flowers; her husband, James Lewis on October 2, 2010; and a brother, C.A. Flowers.

Josephine is survived by son, David Lewis, and his wife, Cindy, of Munfordville, KY;

Daughters:  Teresa Fitch and her husband, Barry, of Poteau, OK; Cindy Denham and her husband, Dennis, of Marlow, OK;

Grandchildren: Julie Skeeters, Jamie Warden, Brad Fitch, Ashley Fitch, Casey Denham and Courtney Denham;

Great grandchildren: Afton Skeeters, Jake Skeeters, Elizabeth Warden and Ethan James Warden;

Sister, Janice Groce of Burkesville, KY;

Brothers: Randy Flowers, Larry Flowers and Ronnie Flowers;

Sister-in-law, Alta Sherell of Marrowbone, KY;

Several nieces, nephews and cousins and special friends, Hack and Peggy Bond and lots more.
