John Wesley Reed

On Friday November 27th John Wesley Reed loving husband and father passed away at the age of 71.

John was born on June 25, 1949 in Chickasha Ok to Merle Dean (Loveless) and Gilbert Reed. He graduated from Ninnekah High School and went on to serve in the Army as Military Police in the Vietnam War. On April 17th 1970 he married his wife Elizabeth Reed of 50 years and they lived in Ninnekah, Ok where they raised their family. He worked for Halliburton and retired after 35 years. He was an active member of the Gateway to Hope Chapel church in Chickasha Ok. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, his cattle and his beloved dog Pearl.

John was preceded in death by his parents Gilbert and Merle Dean Reed.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Reed of Ninnekah Ok; daughter Jennifer Redemer and husband Michael of Verden, Ok; son Jerry Reed and wife Kristyl of Chickasha, Ok; and five grandchildren: Jeremy Reed and wife Kelsey; Rachel Redemer, Ally Reed, Jarett Reed and Kameryn Reed.

He is also survived by his siblings Pat Stephens and husband James, of Ninnekah, Ok: Shirley Beasley and husband Bill, of Lindsay, Ok: Delbert Reed and wife Debbie, of Duncan, Ok; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be announced by the family at a later date.
