Joey Harrison Claud Bonds (JoJo), 40, of Chickasha was born on April 21, 1981 in Oklahoma City to Jimmy and Minnie Bonds. He went to be with his heavenly father and earthly parents on September 8, 2021.
Joey was raised in Chickasha, OK and attended Amber-Pocasset schools. Following school he began his welding career in 1999. He eventually went on to weld for Turners Welding, and fell in love with the trade. He was the proud owner of Bonds Welding Services Inc., established in 2006. He was proud to be a welder. Over the past 20 years he has made many friends through his career. Joey is known for his precise work ethic and loyalty to the trade. He brought joy to the job site, he took great pride in his work. He had a smile a mile wide and loved making people laugh. He left this world doing what he loved.
One of Joey's greatest accomplishments was becoming a father. In 1999 he welcomed his daughter Breaunna Bonds, and in 2002 his son, Logan Bonds. They became his whole world.
Joey met the love of his life Kristin, in 2011. They became united in marriage on November 30, 2012, and blended their beautiful family; Breaunna, Logan, Brent, Alyssa, and Kaylin.
Joey's love for Kristin was deep and it showed in everything he did. Joey's greatest accomplishments were his children. He beamed with pride anytime he spoke of them. He was happiest when he was surrounded by his family and friends, if it were family dinners, boating, fishing, shooting, or fellowshipping with other believers. He especially loved his hound, Millie. Joey had such a tender heart and loved spoiling and cuddling her, he loved providing and taking care of his family. He took pride in taking care of his land and home.
Joey will be greatly missed by not only his family but a host of his friends. Joey is preceded in death by his parents; Jimmy and Minnie Bonds, who he loved deeply and his niece Natasha Jaques, and his two dogs Titan and Daisy.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kristin Bonds of the home; daughter, Breaunna Bonds; son, Logan Bonds of Chickasha; Alyssa and Kaylin Bower of the home; Brent and daughter-in-law Kallie Lester of Elk City; granddaughter, Viola; sisters, Minerva Coker of Oklahoma City, Geneva Butler, and Claudette Bonds of Chickasha; sister-in-law Krystal and Casey Marlow of Tuttle; and his sister-in-law/ bonus child Lorrie Leslie (LoLo) of Chickasha, and numerous nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
Services will be at Bible Baptist Church in Chickasha, Oklahoma on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 2:30 p.m., He will be buried after at Pocasset Cemetery, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family asks contributions be made to Helpless Hounds of Tulsa, Oklahoma
