Joel Lynn Tumblson passed away on January 12, 2025, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 77. Joel was born to parents John and Violet Tumblson on May 27, 1947, in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Visitation for friends and family will be held on Wednesday, January 15, and Thursday, January 16, 2025 open to close at Sevier Funeral Home.

Joel's life will be remembered on Friday January 17, 2025 at 10:30am at Sevier Funeral Home in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Burial to follow at Fairlawn Cemetery in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

He grew up in Chickasha where he enjoyed the outdoors and hunting with his brother and cousin.  He met his spouse Soundra Tumblson in 7th grade, later marrying her, as his high school sweetheart. They were married for 50 years. Together they raised two children whom they loved very much. Throughout Joel's life, he was known for his strong work ethic which began with his time in the military. Joel served 2 years in the Army before he discovered his passion in farming and ranching. He built a successful business from the ground up alongside his wife and two sons until his passing.

Joel Lynn Tumblson is proceeded in death by his wife, Soundra Tumblson; father and mother, John and Violet Tumblson; brother, John "Johnny" Tumblson; and sister, Elaine Edwards.

Joel is survived by his companion, Karen Dodson; two children, Kenny Tumblson, Joel Tumblson Jr., and their spouses; three grandchildren, Taylor Scott, Sawyer Fream, and Jake Tumblson, one great grandchild, nephew and cousins. Joel will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
