Joe R. Newton

Joe R. Newton was born June 19, 1934 in Cyril, Oklahoma to B.L. and Dorothy (McDowell) Newton. He passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2016 in Tuttle, Oklahoma at the age of 82.

Joe moved to Midwest City at a young age and graduated from Midwest City High School. He joined the Air Force shortly after graduating. He married Bernice Oglesby after getting out of the Service.  He then went to work for Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (FAA) in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and worked there until retiring in 1998.

He is preceded in death by his parents, B.L. and Dorothy Newton; 2 brothers and one sister.

Joe is survived by a son: Joel Keith Newton of Mustang, OK,

2 step-sons:  Larry Crofford and wife Patti of El Reno, OK
Randy Crofford and wife Cindy of Oklahoma City, OK

1 granddaughter: Brandy Newton Ross of Grandbury, TX

2 great-granddaughters:  Jordan Ross and Harley Ross

And special friend LeAnn Williams and her family
