Joe Macom

Joseph Keith "Joe" Macom was born December 25, 1947 in Hinton, Oklahoma to Robert and Mildred (Pickens) Macom.  He passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 in Chickasha, Oklahoma at the age of 68.

Mr. Macom graduated from Putnam City High School in 1966 and graduated from the College of the Ozarks.  He received his Master's Degree in Education from University of Central Oklahma and retired from Ninnekah Schools as a Spanish and history teacher.  He was the sponsor for the Ninnekah Scholastic team, Senior Sponsor and sponsored the Gifted & Talented Program.

He is preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Bobby Don Macom and Clinford Macom; and 2 sisters, Myrtle Christian and Karen Powell.

He is survived by his nieces and nephews, Marilyn Beery, Darla Temple, Teresa Gold and Mark Powell and other numerous great nieces and nephews and his best friend since the first grade, Brock Parker.
