Joan Richards

Joan (Greenroyd) Richards was born on May 6, 1951 in Minco, Oklahoma. She went to be with her Lord on April 27, 2016 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She attended school at Minco, where she graduated in 1969.

Joan married and her daughter Tiffani Annette was born in 1979. In 1991 she started working for the Oklahoma House of Representatives as a staff assistant where she worked at the time of her death. Joan loved the excitement of being at the capitol, and the beautiful capitol building.

Joan was a big fan of OU and the OKC Thunder and spent many years playing fantasy football with her friends. She spent every Wednesday night beating the pants off her poker buddies Shelby, Sue Ann, Helen and Marlene where it was hard to see the cards through tears of laughter. She also spent many weekends ghost busting at Stone Lion Inn with her friend Phyllis. But Joan's true joy in life was spending time with her two grandsons Kylar and Kaleb.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents Dorothy and Haskell Greenroyd, daughter Tiffani, and Stevie Roberts. She leaves to cherish her memory, her grandsons Kylar Steven and Kaleb Michael, special friends Brett and Leslie Lamb, her brother Haskell Greenroyd, Jr. and his wife Bunny, and Gizmo the Pug.
