Jimmy Don Groseclose

Jimmy Don Groseclose passed from this life on May 11, 2025 in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 62. He was born on September 21, 1962 in Verden, OK to Donald and Helen Groseclose.

Jimmy grew up on a farm in Verden, Oklahoma. He attended Verden Public Schools where he participated in the FFA program. His love for agriculture continued as he began a career at Poag Grain after the birth of his first son Jamie. His reputation grew as did the solid relationships he built throughout the years. He also worked at Ross Seed Co. in Chickasha. One of his favorite places that he ever lived was at a secluded farm house in Norge that he affectionately referred to as "The Hill". If you were close to Jimmy, you had a nickname. Members of the surrounding farming community were treated like family. Such as Aaron Lokey, "Mikey", "Vance", Irwin and Jarod Igo. Jimmy would always have a cookie for Jarod's young son Maverick.

He is preceded in death by his parents Don and Helen Groseclose, his older sister Janice, and his hero. His uncle Jack Craddock.

He is survived by his sons, Jamie Lynn Groseclose of Des Moines, Iowa, Jody Alan Groseclose of Mustang, Oklahoma, sisters Juanita Mills and Jana Groseclose of Chickasha as well as many dear friends in the farming community.
