Jimmie Joe Cooper

Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at Trinity Crossing Church, Tuttle, Oklahoma. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Jimmie Joe Cooper passed away at the age of 77 on December 19th, 2022. He was born on June 14th, 1945 in San Pedro California to Horace Thomas and Adelia Olivia Cooper. He was class of 1963 from Healdton High School. He played baseball in school, even coached his son Tommie's baseball team.  Anyone who knew him, knew he loved working on cars. He built a dragster at 18 yrs. old in 1963 with a friend of his. He was restoring his 1954 Chevy when he passed away. He served in the US Air Force from April 1966 to April 1970 at Tyndall Air Force Base in Florida. He worked as a mechanic for OG&E until he retired in 1998.

He was preceded in death by both his parents.

Jimmie left behind his wife Vera of 43 yrs., sons Tommie Cooper and wife Anne, Tarrie Cooper and wife Dawn, daughter Joy Cooper, sister Judy Cooper,  stepsons Allen and Kris Goetz, 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Jim will be missed always.
