Jessie Marie Bennett

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at First Baptist Church Ninnekah, Ninnekah, OK.

Jessie Marie (James) Bennett, of Ninnekah, OK passed away on Thursday, July 8, 2021 in Chickasha, OK at the age of 95. She was born February 21, 1926 in Preston Bend, TX to William and Annie May (Worbes) James.

She married Benjamin "Bennie" Bennett on July 9, 1944 in Arizona.  Their home was in California while Bennie was in the Army Air Corp and later moved to Grady County. She and Bennie owned and operated Bennett Service Station and later owned Bennett Tires at Ninnekah.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ninnekah, Ninnekah Homemaker Club, as well as the Pink Ladies at Grady Memorial.

She is preceded in death by her husband Benjamin Bennett on January 31, 2004 and an infant daughter Ann Marie Bennett on September 7, 1950; her parents, two brothers, eight sisters, a baby granddaughter Bonnie, and daughter-in-law Oneta Bennett. Jessie is survived by her two sons: Richard Bennett and wife Betty and Clyde Bennett and wife Bonita; five grandchildren: Tracy Bennett, Paul Bennett, Kathy Singleton, Richard Allen Bennett Jr. and Leta Marie Pruitt; Nine great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Interment will be at the Ninnekah cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home, Chickasha, OK.
