Jesse David Higgins

A memorial will be held at Sevier Funeral Home Chapel in Chickasha, OK on Saturday, June 25th at 10:00 AM.

It is with great sadness, heavy hearts, and profound love that the family of Jesse David Higgins announces his passing. Jesse was born to David and Patricia Higgins on July 5, 1977, in Chickasha Oklahoma. Jesse passed away on June 18, 2022, from complications due to his long-time battle with diabetes. Jesse was the self-proclaimed black sheep of the family and that crazy uncle that all his nieces and nephews loved dearly. He was also a gentle giant when it came to his grandchildren whom he loved and adored dearly. He had a big personality, and an even bigger heart, and would give you the shirt off his back. Since he was able to talk he never met a stranger. He had the most radiant personality. People were just attracted to it. Above all, Jesse was our protector. You did not dare mess with his family. He was the self-proclaimed black sheep but in all honesty, he was the son, brother, uncle, husband, father, family member, and friend that we all knew we could count on when things got rough. He would always be there, not standing behind or beside you, but he would be leading the charge.

Jesse was preceded in death by his father David Wayne Higgins.

Jesse is survived by his mother Patricia E. Higgins, his son James "Bubba" Clark, his daughter Lyndsey Cullifer, his brothers Mark and Tiffiny Brooks of Victoria, TX; Matt Brooks of Monroeville, PA; Mason and Rena' Brooks of Wister, OK; and Jacob and Christina Higgins of Oklahoma City, OK. He had 3 grandchildren Jax Clark, Jayden Clark, and Lexee Cullifer. He had 14 nieces and nephews – Major Brooks, Nicholas Brooks, Tyler Brooks, Chase Brooks, Barrett Brooks, Jordan Brooks, Austin Brooks, Samantha Brooks, Matthew Brooks, Micah Brooks, Boomer Brooks, Hallee Brooks, Hank Higgins, and Alexander Higgins. Jesse is also survived by 8 great-nieces and nephews.
