Funeral service for Jerry Rowell will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. at Ninnekah First Baptist Church in Ninnekah, Oklahoma. Interment will be at Ninnekah Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Come and go Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 from  8:00 a.m to 7:00 p.m. at Sevier Funeral Home in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Jerry Rowell passed from this life on Saturday, January 10, 2026 in Ninnekah, OK at the age of 84. He was born on April 23, 1941 in Ninnekah, OK to Obe and Hazel Rowell.

Jerry worked in the oil field which took him to Fairview, OK. There he met Susie Countryman in January of 1962, in the café where she worked as a waitress and Jerry had dinner. They married July 8, 1962 in Fairview, OK. They made their home in Ninnekah, OK, where they lived for 63 years.

Jerry loved cows. He worked to build a good cow herd. He also was the youth minister at Ninnekah Baptist Church for 10 years. He loved working with the youth, teaching Sunday School, and also served as a deacon.

He had many different jobs as he worked on the farm. He worked in the oil field, Morris Brothers Trailers as a welder, and Willowbrook Construction. He purchased a bull dozer and did a lot of excavation which he enjoyed doing. Then he bought a truck and incorporated as Rowell Trucking. He built up to 7 trucks, hauling rock and then hauling for Hobby Lobby.

He then decided to spend his time with the cow herd he had built up.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Susie, of the home; nephews, Monte Rowell and wife Janice of Ninnekah; Shane Rowell and wife Anissa of Ninnekah; Vaughn Craddock of Ninnekah; niece Sandra Barnes of Chickasha; Sisters-in-law: Sharon Rowell of Ninnekah, Edith Smith of Fort Worth, TX, Jackie Bolenbough of Enid, OK, Pearl Keesee of Oklahoma City, OK; and brother-in-law, Bob Craddock of Ninnekah.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Obe and Hazel Rowell; his sister Wanda Craddock; his brothers, Kenneth, Wayne and Anthony.
