A graveside service will be held at Fairlawn Cemetery in Chickasha, Oklahoma on Wednesday, August 3, at 10am under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Jerry D. Campbell entered eternity with Christ on Saturday, July 30, 2022. He was born to John D. and Fay Campbell on July 14, 1932 in Oklahoma City, OK.

He had a strong work ethic; He served his country in the Navy and served the communities in which he lived (Chickasha, OK, Jonesboro, AR, Ada, OK, and Edmond, OK) at power companies as an electrician, lineman, and supervisor throughout his career. He was known to have an anxious energy and wouldn't stop until the job was done. Even after retiring, he continued to work as a Sergeant-At-Arms at the Oklahoma Capitol. Jerry never stopped serving his family, friends, and local church. He was a deacon at Edmond's First Baptist Church. The most important thing about Jerry was his trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. He loved the gospel and sought to live in light of it. He could say alongside his favorite theologian, Charles Spurgeon, "I have a great need for Christ: I have a great Christ for my need."

Jerry was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathy Kaye; and his parents, John and Fay.

Jerry is survived by his wife of seventy years, Louise; his twin sister, Gaye Goss, his son, Jon D. (Jill) Campbell; his daughter, Kayla Campbell; and grandchildren, Justin Campbell, Kody (Juli) Gibson, Jay (Claire) Campbell, and Kaydee (Tyler) Cunningham.
