J.C. Smith

J.C. Smith was born January 6, 1935 in Middleburg, Oklahoma to Herman Oscar and Burl (Webber) Smith.  He passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2017 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 82.

J.C. lived in Grady County all his life.  He graduated from Friend High School.  He married Joyce Workman on December 1, 1957 at the First Baptist Church of Ninnekah.

He farmed and ranched enjoying his cows and horses.  He worked for Parker Drilling for over 30 years and later worked for So Hio Energy as a Drilling Consultant.  He had also worked at Pet Inc. for 10 years.

He was a member of First Baptist Church of Ninnekah and served as a deacon.  He had also been a member of Ninnekah School Board.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Joyce J. Smith on June 3, 2015.

J.C. is survived by his sons, Mark Allen Smith and his wife, Dana;

Larry Randall (Randy) Smith and his wife, Cheryl;

Grandchildren:  Ty Smith, Josh Smith and Kelsee Smith;

Brother, Bub Smith

Sisters:  Wanda Paddack and Betty Porter.
