Janet Anita Rumbaugh

Graveside service will be Monday, January 24, 2022, at Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, OK under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Janet Anita Rumbaugh, passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022, in Tuttle, OK at the age of 74. She was born July 13, 1947, in Lawton, OK, to Raymond Vowell and Lois (Copeland) Sorrels.

Janet was born in Lawton, OK and throughout her childhood, she and her family moved around a lot to many of the small towns in Oklahoma. She graduated from SE High School and married her sweetheart Jimmy in 1966. They would move to Tuttle, OK in 1970. Janet worked for Tuttle Vet Clinic for several years. Later worked as a legal secretary for the same attorney in Oklahoma City, as well as Wynnewood until her retirement. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of First Baptist Church Tuttle where she worked in the nursery for many years. She will be forever loved and missed. As saddened as we are to lose her we have joy in our hearts knowing that she is reunited with all her family and friends that have gone before and we cannot wait to be reunited with her in the future.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, and husband.

Janet is survived by her son, Robert Rumbaugh and wife Jill; daughter, Sharyl Boxley and husband Larry; grandchildren: Clayton, Duncan, Sydney, Hayden, and Hannah; 2 great-grandchildren, Giovanni and Amani; step-grandchildren, Starla and Autumn; step-great-grandchildren, Hunter and Tristan; sister Loretta Chavis, and numerous nieces and nephews.
