Jack Edward McDonald, 85, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, passed away on November 27, 2025, in his hometown. Born on April 1, 1940, in Chickasha, Jack remained deeply connected to the community that shaped him throughout his life.
Jack graduated from Chickasha High School and went on to attend USAO, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree. He built a long and respected career in the oil and gas industry, working as a consultant with Baker/Hughes until his retirement. Never one to remain idle, Jack continued to share his expertise by consulting with several small independent companies. His career took him across the United States, as well as to the Middle East, Africa, and Asia—travels he greatly enjoyed and often reflected upon.
Jack had a lifelong love of reading and travel, passions that blended naturally with the work he devoted so many years to.
He is survived by his wife, C. Kay McDonald; his stepdaughter, Michele Sikes, and her husband David A. Sikes of Chickasha; and his stepsons, A. Scott Kile of Chickasha and Jeff Kile and his wife April Kile of Chickasha.
He is also survived by several step-grandchildren—Tiffany Vardasebi and her husband Ali Vardasebi of Moore; Eric Sikes of Chickasha; Jeremy Kile of Chickasha; Austin Kile and his wife Ereka Kile of Chickasha; and Brayden Kile of Chickasha—each of whom held a special place in his heart.
Jack is also survived by his siblings: several brothers and one sister.
Jack's presence, wisdom, and steady kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Graveside Service for Jack Edward McDonald will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
Come and go visitation will be on Monday, December 1, 2025 from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. at Sevier Funeral Home in Chickasha, OK.
