Irma Lois (Garrison) Ragsdale , 91, of Tuttle, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully in the same manner as she had lived, on Saturday, November 11, 2017. Irma Lois was born to William T. and Ellen Gertrude (Rawle) Garrison on February 10, 1926 in Tuttle, Oklahoma. Irma Lois was the youngest of a large family (six brothers and two sisters). She was accustomed to hard work as growing up during the depression and a world war will cause. She grew up on various farms around the Tuttle, Bridge Creek and Dibble areas being the daughter of a sharecropper. She graduated from Dibble High School and was salutatorian of her class.
Irma Lois and Billy Ragsdale, after a short courtship, were married on November 1, 1946 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Irma Lois was a housekeeper, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a woman full of faith and read her Bible daily. She led a peaceful, quiet life and her godly actions spoke volumes of her faith in God. Irma Lois was a wonderful cook. There was always something good to eat at her house. She enjoyed taking food to help with her extension club, church meals and funeral meals.
Irma Lois was preceded in death by her parents; infant granddaughter, Erica Ann Ragsdale; great grandson, Marcus Stefan Waitman; six brothers: Elmer, Floyd, Wallace, Lester, Vern and Curtis; two sisters, Ila Faye Emerson and Lahoma Stacy.
Irma Lois is survived by her husband, Billy Ragsdale of the home;
Daughter, Donna Waitman and husband, Bob Waitman, of Ryan, OK;
Sons: Kenneth Ragsdale and wife, Vicki, of Tuttle, OK;
Pat Ragsdale and wife, Stacy, of Tuttle, OK;
David Ragsdale and wife, Sharon, of Meeker, OK;
She is also survived by ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and a host of nephews and nieces.
