Imogene Rice

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 11, 2019 at the Sevier Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will be in Erin Springs Cemetery, Erin Springs, Oklahoma under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Yuma Imogene Rice, 99, of Chickasha, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2019 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  She was born October 22, 1920 in Lone Grove, Oklahoma to William Beldon and Martha Ann (Dinwiddle) Palmer.

Imogene came to Chickasha with her family when she was a child.    She married Marvin Rice on June 21, 1952 in Chickasha.  She worked at Chickasha Clothing Co, Richerson Furniture and Best Western (Quality Inn) as a bookkeeper.

She served the community playing the organ for different events at Trinity Baptist Church and Michigan Avenue Baptist Church up until she was 98.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Brow Palmer and sister, Exa Airington.

Imogene is survived by he husband, Marvin Rice;

Her son, Randy Rice and his wife, Janet;

A sister, Lawana Odom;

And grandchildren:  William Ryan Rice and Rory Brandon Rice.
