Graveside Service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at Amber Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. Viewing will be Tuesday, March 4, 2025 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Helen Louise Coker was born Oct 8, 1943, in Alexandria, LA to Harold and Willie Mae (Peggy) Crye. She married Ronald (Ron) Coker on December 27, 1959, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She studied Home Economics at Texas Tech University, graduating in 1974. She was a dedicated homemaker, always serving and taking care of her family. She worked for the TX Agricultural Extension service after graduation from Texas Tech. When the family moved to Clarendon, she worked at the Memphis Cotton Gin until they moved to OK. She worked together with her husband (Ron) in the stockyards for Powder River and WW Trailers before working for Oklahoma Department of Human Services. She started working for the Oklahoma Department of Human Services as a Case Worker in 1990 until her retirement in 2010. She loved reading, crocheting and playing family board games with her kids.
Helen is preceded in death by her parents, brother, David Crye, and her husband of 58 years, Ron.
She is survived by: 3 sons: Kenneth Coker and wife Kelly of Tyler, TX; James Coker and wife Mandy of Enid, OK; Thomas Coker of Tuttle, OK; 2 daughters: Janet Coker of Oklahoma City, OK; Patricia Boys and husband Bruce of Princeton, TX; and 7 grandchildren.
