Glenn Elmo Rooker, a lifelong resident of Tuttle, OK, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at his home in Tuttle, at the age of 90, with his family at his side. Glenn was born May 1, 1930 to Clyde and Myrtle (Reed) Rooker at Colony, OK.
Glenn's parents moved to Tuttle in 1931 when he was a year old. He grew up in Tuttle and graduated from Tuttle High School in 1948. He was active in FFA during school. After graduation he attended OSU for a year then came home to help his dad on the farm.
He married the love of his life Cleta Aynes on May 14, 1950 and they celebrated 70 years together. To this union two children were born, Katherine and Stanley.
He was ordained a minister in the Primitive Baptist Church in 1965. He pastored the church at Tuttle for 25 years and also at Mt. View, OK for over 40 years before retiring because of health problems.
Glenn worked as a trim carpenter in many local houses and farmed south of Tuttle. After retiring he made flag cases to donate to veterans' families, he made approximately 100 cases.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Myrtle Rooker; his brother, Stanley Irvin Rooker; sisters, Marjorie Etta Rooker and Alice Jean Rooker.
Glenn is survived by his wife, Cleta Rooker of Tuttle, OK;
Daughter, Kathy Wynn and her husband, Don, of Tuttle, OK;
Son, Stanley Rooker and his wife, Suzanne, of Tuttle, OK;
4 grandchildren: Brad Wynn and his wife, Tasha; Stacy Wynn and her husband, David; Jason Rooker and his wife, Meegan; and Jana Waitman and her husband, Matt;
and 9 great grandchildren: Alyssa and Cassidy Rooker; Tyler, Tucker and Mattie Waitman; Zachary Wynn and Corban, Cianna and Caison Rich.
