Celebrating the Life of Glenda Whitley August 24, 1934 – October 12, 2026

Glenda Whitley, 92, went home to be with the Lord on October 12, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love, cherished memories, and a family who will forever be grateful to have been hers.

Glenda lived a beautiful life, not because it was filled with grand gestures or extraordinary accomplishments, but because of the extraordinary love she poured into the people around her. She found her greatest happiness in caring for those she loved, creating a home where family was always welcome, and making even the simplest moments feel special.

Glenda had a gentle heart, a quiet strength, and a wonderful, understated sense of humor. She didn't need to be the center of attention to bring joy to those around her. Sometimes it was a perfectly timed comment, a knowing smile, or a little unexpected wit that brought laughter to those she loved. She found happiness in the everyday moments of life, especially those shared with the people who meant the most to her.

Her family was truly the center of her world. Whether preparing a holiday meal, spending time talking with her daughters, reading to her grandchildren, or simply being there when someone needed her, Glenda had a way of making people feel loved and cared for. She gave her family something truly precious—the comfort of knowing that, no matter what life brought their way, they were always deeply loved.

At the heart of Glenda's life was her marriage to Wayne Whitley, an Oklahoma City police officer and the love of her life. Their years together were among her greatest blessings. She took immense joy in caring for Wayne, sharing their life together, and building a family rooted in love and devotion.

Her faith was also an important part of who she was. Glenda maintained a close relationship with God throughout her life, finding comfort and strength in reading her Bible, attending church, and praying for those she loved. Her faith was reflected most beautifully in the way she treated others—with kindness, patience, and a generous heart.

Glenda leaves behind her beloved daughters, Debra Derozier of Pea Ridge, Arkansas, and Kristi Huff of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Wendy Pruitt (Duane) of Pea Ridge, Arkansas; Jason Crosley (Amanda) of Bella Vista, Arkansas; Leonard Ringwald of Pea Ridge, Arkansas; Jackson Huff of Pea Ridge, Arkansas; and Spencer Huff of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren, Ashton Crosley, Noah Pruitt, Mallory Martin (Craig Jr.), Liam Crosley, Akima Ringwald, Vivian Ringwald, Draco Ringwald, and Freya Huff; and her great-great-grandson, Hudson Martin. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and extended family members whom she loved dearly.

Glenda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wayne Whitley of Tuttle, Oklahoma; her parents, Elmer and Tabitha Cox; her brothers, Bob and Jerold Cox; and her sister, Charlene Hall.

A celebration of Glenda's life will be held Monday, October 19, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Sevier Funeral Home in Tuttle, Oklahoma, with a graveside service following at Fairview Cemetery in Tuttle.

Glenda will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her quiet humor, and the steady, unconditional love she gave so freely. Her family will miss the familiar conversations, the unexpected moments of laughter, and all the little things that made her uniquely Glenda.

She leaves behind a lifetime of memories, a family who adored her, and a love that will continue to be felt for generations. Because in the end, a beautiful life isn't measured by how much attention it draws, but by how deeply it is loved and how dearly it is missed.
