St., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73159. Minister Ricky (Bud) Popejoy will be officiating. Burial will follow with graveside services at Fairview Cemetery in Tuttle, 1001 E. Rock Creek Rd. Family viewing of Gerald will be on Friday, November 9

Gerald Phillip Sipe was born at home in Tuttle Oklahoma on October 6
th
, 1936 to Dena and Murl Sipe. He was the second of six children. He graduated from Tuttle High school in 1954 where he was the quarterback for the football team and selected by his school to participate in the American Legion Boys State where he participated in learning about the local government.
On November 25, 1954 Gerald married Wanda Gearline Klippel at the Tuttle Church of Christ. He ran a milk route for Murl Sipe and Borden's Dairy until 1966 when he went to Highway Patrol School Recruit School and graduated in February 1966. He worked for the Highway Patrol from 1966-1971. Gerald and Wanda fostered children in their home for several years during this time. He worked various other jobs until he became the Director of Bus Maintenance for the Tuttle School District in addition to driving a school bus for 22 years. He then ran his own garage door business (GW Garage Door Services) for an additional 11 years and finally retired in 2013. He was a life long member of the Church of Christ and an elder at the Tuttle Church of Christ for several years.
His life passions included: woodworking, traveling (he and Wanda saw 36 out of 50 states), camping, pecan harvesting, reading, the history of World War II, Tuttle and OU Football. He was a collector and tinkerer. His collections include: watches, clocks, oil lamps, wooden dominoes, pocket knives, and antique sewing machines. If you needed help, Gerald was always there! He loved being active.
Gerald is preceded in death by his parents, Dena and Murl Sipe and his sister Murlene Clifton. Also, grandson, Talon Jay Heath and granddaughter, Meghan Andrea Heath.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Wanda Sipe; his children Lorinda Sipe, Kathy Corlee and husband Chris, Phillip Sipe and wife Sonja, Robert Sipe and wife Lisa, Mona Popejoy and husband Ricky and Tracy Sipe and wife Sharon; 15 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. Also survived by his siblings Loretta O'Hara and husband Forrest, David Sipe and wife Ginger, Donna Harryman and husband Doyle and Paula McDaniel.
