Georgia Ann Burt

Funeral service for Georgia Ann Burt will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at the Sevier Funeral Home Chapel in Chickasha, OK. The committal will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Georgia Ann Burt was born on October 1, 1934, in Blanchard, OK to Alburn W. and Geneva Wheeler. Georgia passed away surrounded by her loving family on May 6, 2024 in Chickasha, OK, at the age of 89.

Georgia was born in a tent in Blanchard, OK to Al and Geneva Wheeler. She had four brothers and two sisters. She grew up in Wellington, TX. Georgia married William Junior Burt in Chickasha, OK, on August 23, 1951. Georgia lived in Chickasha with her husband and there they raised their three children, Linda Ann Miller, Kenneth Burt and Brenda Robison. Georgia worked at the Chickasha Greenhouse delivering flowers for several years. She loved going to garage sales and in her younger years, she loved to roller skate and dance. Georgia was an active member of Grace Baptist Church and was also one of the charter members of the church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Al Wheeler and Geneva Hurst; her husband, William Junior Burt; her daughter, Linda Ann Miller; her siblings, Charlie Wheeler, Juanita Knight, Bob Wheeler, Edna Shilling, Danny Wheeler, and Jimmy Wheeler.

Georgia is survived by her son, Kenneth Burt and Bobbie Day of Kingston, OK; her daughter Brenda Robison and husband Kevin, of Chickasha, OK; her grandchildren, Aaron Miller, Nick Burt, Roy Smith, Jessica Cunningham, Clint Robison, Brayden Layton; her great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Shana Miller, Madilyn and Easton Cunningham, and McKenzie and Lane Layton; her great-great-grandchild, Oakley Leras; as well as many nieces and nephews.
