Garry Lynn Givens

Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 2020 at Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeal Home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675-8516.

Garry Lynn Givens, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2020 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 66.  Garry was born September 22, 1953 in Anadarko, Oklahoma to JC and Jolene (Blackburn) Givens.

Garry graduated from Gracemont High School.  After graduating high school he served in the United States Marine Corp from 1971 to 1973.   He later received his bachelor's degree from USAO.

He married Barbara Boeckman on August 23, 1974.   Garry started work with Western Farmers Electric Coop in 1975 and was a lineman for many years and then later moved to a Systems Operator before retiring in 2007.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Sandy Wright.

Garry is survived by his wife, Barbara Givens;

A son, Joseph Joe Givens;

A daughter, Lisa Bryan;

Grandchildren: Braxton Givens, Layton Bryan and Kallen Bryan;

Sisters:  Vanda Givens, Thresa Savage and Pat Willis.
