Francis Leroy White was born December 19, 1925 at Sharon, Oklahoma. He was the son of Oscar Edward and Murtie Lula (Wilson) White.  He went to be with his Lord September 12, 2020.

As a 10 year old boy he was saved and united with the First Baptist Church Sharon, Oklahoma. He moved with his family to Valliant, Oklahoma, in 1936, where he graduated from high school in 1943.  He joined the U.S Navy March 29, 1944 and served aboard the USS Flint CL 97 as a Radarman 2/c in the Pacific.  Francis was discharged from the Navy in March 1946.  In the summer of 1946 he was ordained to the ministry by the First Baptist Church, Valliant, Oklahoma.

In the fall of 1946 he enrolled as a student at Oklahoma Baptist University and attended there for five semesters. It was here that he met his wife, Charlotte West of Reydon, Oklahoma. They were married in the First Baptist Church, Reydon, Oklahoma, February 13, 1949. To this union one son, Randle was born. Francis earned BA and MEd degrees from Southwestern State University and a MA in Religion from Bethany Nazarene College.

Francis served as pastor of FBC, Swink OK., FBC Hendrix, OK, associate pastor FBC Mangum, OK., pastor FBC Brinkman, OK., FBC Sharon, OK., FBC Hollister, OK., FBC Laverne, OK., FBC Lindsay, OK., and Carter Park Baptist Church, Del City, OK.

In 1969 the family moved to Chickasha, OK where Francis taught English for three years at the Junior High School.  In 1973 he began as a school psychometrist for the State Department of Education.  After 17 years he retired in 1991.

He was a member of College Heights Baptist Church where he served as Sunday School Director and taught an Adult Bible class. His primary goal in life was to help people. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

In 2007 he and Charlotte moved to Broken Arrow, OK to be near his son, Randle. At the time of his death he was a member of Arrow Heights Baptist Church, Broken Arrow.

He is survived by, son, Randle and his wife Celina, of Broken Arrow, OK., grandson, Patrick, his wife Beth and their daughter Quinn of Broken Arrow, OK., and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers: Harvey, Jim, Glen, Don, and Edward, three sisters: Mildred Miller, Margaret Greason, and Lula Hall.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery, Chickasha, OK under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home, Chickasha, OK.
