Florence "Lenora" Bennett

Graveside service for Lenora Bennett will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at Fairlawn Cemetery in Chickasha, OK under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Florence Lenora Bennett passed from this life on August 25, 2025 in Chickasha, OK at the age of 93. She was born on August 20, 1932 in Naples, OK to William Alvin Hill and Edith (Maxey) Hill.

Lenora lived in Chickasha her entire life. She was married to Perry Basil Bennett on June 16, 1948 in Wichita Falls, TX. She worked for Chickasha Public Schools in Public Food Service from 1967 to 1995 and was known for the best bread rolls!

Lenora alongside her husband, raised four children and two step children. Lenora loved her family, especially her grandchildren with every ounce of her being. She helped care for anyone in need. She loved and praised God.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Perry Basil Bennett; her parents, William and Edith Hill; three sons, Allen Bennett, James Bennett, and Darrell Bennett; her daughter, Brenda Smith and son-in-law Steve Smith; her grandson, Allen Bennett, Jr.; her great-grandson, Michael Bennett; sister, Beulah Patrick; and brother, E.G. Hill.

Loved ones left to remember Lenora are her sister, Sue Trayhard of Chickasha, OK; her step daughters, Mary Story and Fern Bennett, both of Chickasha, OK; her grandson Joshua Bennett and his wife Janie of Verden, OK; her granddaughter Alicia Fiske and her husband Dylan of Verden, OK; granddaughter and husband, Michelle and David Duran of Colorado; grandson and wife, Jeremy and Melissa Smith, of New Mexico; granddaughters Denise Bennett and Krista Bennett, both of Chickasha, OK; daughter-in-law Stella Economu of Chickasha, OK; as well as numerous other family members including 18 great grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
