Erin Dannelle Jones, born August 13, 1976, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 31, 2015, at the age of 38. Erin was the Middle and High School Principal in Haskell, Oklahoma for the past four years. She started her teaching career in Haskell in 1999. She previously was the principal at Brassfield Middle School in Bixby, OK. She was raised in Chickasha and Amber Oklahoma. In 1988 her family moved to Muskogee. She graduated from Hilldale High School in 1994. She continued her education at Northeastern State University, Tahlequah, Oklahoma graduating in 1998. She received her Masters of Education Administration from NSU Tulsa, in 2006. She had a great love for children and teaching children. It was very important to her to be a part of each child's life; she knew them by name. Erin was very active with all school activities, especially sports. She was a vital part of the community of Haskell. Erin was a National Board Certified Teacher and held workshops every year to help others teachers attain their National Certification. Erin was also an instructor for Great Expectations. Erin enjoyed crafts and scrapbooking. She loved to shop and purses were her passion. She loved her dogs, Chloe and Ellie, they were her "babies". She attended First Assembly of God in Haskell, Oklahoma. Erin was preceded in death by her father, Truman Jones; her paternal grandparents, Dorothy and Monroe Jones; and her maternal grandfather, Jim Boggess. She is survived by her mother, Bobbye Jones of Gore, Oklahoma; Her sister, Shannon Mitchell and her husband, Jerry of Warner, Oklahoma; her brother Wayne Jones of Muskogee, Oklahoma; her brother, Jeff Jones and his wife, Kim of Center, Texas; her grandmother, Retha Boggess of McAlester, Oklahoma; two nieces, Shelby and Madison Jones; three nephews, Jarred Jones and his wife, Kaden of Comanche, Oklahoma; Grant Jones and his wife, Lauren of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Jeffrey Jones of Hartford, Kentucky; great-nephews, Jett Jones and Levi Alden; great niece, Brooklyn Alden; a host of friends and colleagues.
