Edward Joe Pena Sr.

Edward Joe Pena Sr., 75, of Chickasha, OK, was called home to our heavenly Father on November 18, 2025. Edward was a caring presence in the lives of those who knew him and his loss will be deeply felt by family, friends, and the community he called home.

Edward was born to Alberto Cordova Pena Sr. and Margarita (Gomez) Pena on May 2, 1950, in Martinez, CA. Edward traveled across many states working on a seismograph crew before meeting Patsy Loneman. They married in Elk City, OK in 1970. They then moved to Chickasha, OK where they made their home. They were married for 21 years and had 5 children, Lisa, Joey, Michael, Anthony and Maria.

Edward was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Edward lived a life by unwavering faith, hard work, and a heart full of love. Edward owned and operated his own business, Ed Pena's Concrete, for many years. Edward enjoyed playing his guitars, singing and music. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed small projects. He had a knack for taking things apart and bringing them back to life.

Edward leaves behind a legacy of love, faith and generosity. His busy hands, big heart and boundless energy will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Though his battle with cancer has ended, his spirit, laughter, jokes and his love will carry on in the lives of those he touched.

He is preceded in death by his son, Edward "Joey" Pena Jr., his parents, Alberto Sr. and Margarita Pena, brothers, Alberto Pena Jr., Samuel Pena Sr., Raynaldo Pena and an infant sister.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Lisa Pena-Osage and David of Watonga, OK, Michael Pena of Chickasha OK, Anthony Pena of Chickasha OK, and Maria Pena of Clinton OK, Best friend, Lynda Scott, Brooke Deberry and family, Sisters, Lydia Cervantez, Frances Unruh (Bill), Margie Lentz (Steve), Molly Bashaw, Delma Pena, Oralia Elkins, Rebecca Pena, Alicia Musshafen (Paul), Norma Brumfield (Ken) and Gloria Henson, 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2 pm on Monday, November 24, 2025 at Bible Baptist Church in Chickasha, OK. Interment will be at Fairlawn Cemetery in Chickasha OK. May he rest peacefully, held in Gods embrace after a life lived fully and faithfully.
