Edith Rosalee Walters

Edith Rosalee (Chambers) Walters was born January 31, 1927 in Blanchard, Oklahoma to Oscar (W.O.) and Ella Magdalene (Bell) Chambers.  She passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 in Lawton, Oklahoma at the age of 89.

Mrs. Walters graduated from Middleburg High School in 1945 as Salutatorian.  She married Samuel D. Walters on July 26, 1946 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.  She had worked at Sentry Manufacturing in Chickasha for several years.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Samuel Walters on May 5, 1998; a daughter, Barbara Harrell; and 3 sisters: Lucille Lee, Thelma Claunch and Nettie M. Foytik.

Mrs. Walters is survived by 7 children:
Phyllis Ferrell and her husband, Elton, of Chickasha, OK;
Ron Walters and his wife, Nancy, of Oklahoma City, OK;
Stan Walters of East Texas;
Glenna Laird and her husband, Lex, of Chickasha, OK;
Diane Burton and her husband, Denny, of Enid, OK;
Rosie Malay of Springfield, MO;
Sam Walters and his wife, Tana, of Carthage, MO;

A sister, Kathyrn Riddle and her husband, Elbert, of Prague, OK; and
A brother, Jim Chambers and his wife, Mary, of Blanchard, OK;

15 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
