Duane Rich

Memorial service for Duane Rich, of Chickasha, OK, will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September, 16, 2014 at the Grand Assembly of God Church, Chickasha, OK. Lloyd Duane Rich was born October 22, 1950 in Lawton, OK to Lloyd and Juanita (Gilliland) Rich. He passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at his home at the age of 63. Duane grew up in and around Elgin, OK and graduated from Elgin High School in 1969. He married Gail Stauffer in June of 1972, to this union 4 children were born. In December of 2001, he married Connie (Parker) Russi, and made their home southwest of Chickasha, OK. In 1971, he began working for Public Service Company out of Lawton, OK. In 1975 moved to Waurika, OK with his family when he was transferred with PSO. He finally had to retire in the late 90's, due to injuries he sustained from a work accident he had in 1993. He loved his family beyond measure. He also enjoyed camping and riding his horses in Colorado. He is preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Heather Rose Rich in 1996. Duane is survived by his wife, Connie of the home His 3 sons: David Rich and his wife, Stacy, of Chickasha, OK Stephen Rich and his wife, Brooke, of Bridge Creek, OK Adam Rich and his wife, Rhyann, of Blanchard, OK Stepdaughter, Annette Boatright, and her husband, Larry, of Montgomery, IL His 11 grandchildren: Corban, Cianna, Caison, Kaitlyn, Courtney, Kenley, Destin, Gavin, Garrett, brendan, Brayden He is also survived by his sister, Rosalind Schlegel and her husband, Larry, of Mustang, OK and His nephews, Mark Schlegel, Kevin Schlegel, Hank Hutson, his cousins and many friends. Services are under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home, Chickasha, OK.
