Doris Goldie Wright, passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 93. She was born November 28, 1928, in Tuttle, OK to Ed Gore and Lydia Viola (Patuan-Tatum) Gore.

Doris attended Tuttle Public Schools until she was seventeen when she moved out to California and started working the fields. She then moved to Modesto, California where she began working in the canneries. She would meet her future mother-in-law here and later meet her husband, Jack Wright, Doris and Jack were married on May 6, 1949 in Modesto, California. They lovingly raised 5 children together, Sammy Wright, Linda Duggins, Danny Wright, Brenda Kincaid, and Doris Jean Palumbo. Doris and Jack pastored a church together in California and would build houses together. Later on in life they moved back to Tuttle, Oklahoma where they spent the remainder of their lives.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Lydia Gore; husband, Jack Wright; step-mother, Audry Gore; siblings, Billy Joe Gore, Troy Lee Preston, Sonny Gore, and Mickey Bates.

Doris is survived by her children, Sammy Wright and wife, Debra, Linda Duggins and husband, Rusty, Danny Wright, Brenda Kincaid and husband, Mike, and Doris Jean Palumbo and husband, Randy; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Connie Rogers and husband, Doug; as well as many nieces and nephews.
