Dean Griffith

Private graveside service will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at Fairlawn Cemetery, Chickasha, OK under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Dean Griffith, 79, of Purcell, Oklahoma passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2020 at his home in Purcell.  Dean was born June 1, 1940 on a farm in Calumet, Oklahoma to Truman and Iva (Stroud) Griffith.

He joined the Army at the age of 18 and met Linda Denney when he was 20 and they married soon after, July 30, 1961.  They had two children Connie and Mike.

He grew up farming and working at service stations.  He bought Griffith Service in 1976 on 4 ^th street in Chickasha, OK where he still owns the building today.  He retired in 2005 and sold the business to his son and grandson.

He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Hazel, Carol, Lawrence, Floyd, Gene, Everett and Edward.

Dean is survived by his wife Linda Griffith of Purcell, OK;

Daughter, Connie Allbritton and Chuck Siess of Purcell, OK;

Son, Mike Griffith of Pocasset, OK;

Grandchildren: Dustin and Emily Henry of Purcell, OK; Chris and Kristyn Allbritton of Blanchard, OK; Collin Allbritton of Chickasha, OK; Kim and Fredrick Ligons of Oklahoma City, OK; Raquel and T.K. Trull of Norman, OK; and Lacey Griffith of Norman, OK;

Great grandchildren:  Tylie and Jackson Ligons, Hayes Henry, Beckett Allbritton, Jayden Trull and Baby Henry.
