David Gene Williams

Tuttle

David Gene Williams,76, entered his heavenly home July, 21, 2020. He was born January 3, 1944 to James (Jim) and Loretta (Mosier) Williams at Altus Air Force Ba se.

He attended Tuttle Schools and graduated in 1962. He was class president and was always a supporter of the Tuttle Class Reunion. He volunteered many years keeping the stats for the Tuttle Tigers football team.

He married Robby Capps January 10, 1964. They made their home in Tuttle. He then enlisted in the United States Air National Guard. He served from 1964 to 1971.

He then attended Midwest Christian College to gain more knowledge on Bible history. He became a Tuttle firefighter and served thirty-one years, 1963-1994. He served twenty-three years as Tuttle Fire Chief. He worked for a couple of years at Wilson's Meat Packing Company before going into the family business at Williams Plumbing & Electric Heat and Air where he held three licenses: Plumbing, Electrical with Heat & Air, and a Contractor License. He was a local home builder for many years, Dave Williams Homes. It was a difficult task to pass all three licenses, but he was smart as a whip and could always figure things out and conquered all of the tests with ease. He retired from all of these in 2014, except when his children called on him to come to the rescue at their homes.

David was known for his sense of humor, love of history, and love of music. He always had the latest technology (ATARI, BETA, VCR, Camera, metal detector, etc.). No one liked to get in the boat with David because you would never get your chance to ski. He could ski forever. He also loved to snow ski very fast. In his earlier years, he loved to Quail hunt with his dad and brothers. Above all, David was a child of God. He loved to teach the Adult Sunday School Class at Tuttle Christian Church and did so for many decades. He served God faithfully throughout his life and loved his years as a church elder.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Jim and Loretta Williams. His grandparents: Jessie and Mable Williams, Jeff and Etta Mosier.

He is survived by his wife Robby of fifty-six years. His three children and spouses all of Tuttle, Oklahoma. David L. Williams, Vickie and Charlie Lavicky, Kristie and Billy Joslin. Grandchildren: Breanna, Alyssa, and Amberlyn Lavicky. Tanner, Brooklynn, Bryton, Savannah, and Sierra Williams. Billy III, Korbin, Shelbie, and Hunter Joslin. He is also survived by his siblings: Jimmy, Ronnie, and Karen Williams and their spouses all of Tuttle. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He leaves behind many precious friends.
