David Files

Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at Laverty Cemetery, Cement, OK, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

David Jerry Files, of Cement, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at his home near Cement at the age of 85.  He was born in Caddo County to Curtis Files and Opal (Bailey) Ford on August 1, 1934.

David graduated from Cement High School.  He served in the U.S. Navy for 30 years and retired in 1982.  He moved back to the area and worked for the Oklahoma Fish and Game department.

He is preceded in death by a son, Richard Files and a brother, Melvin Ford.

David is survived by his children: Robert, Rhonda, Rita, Ray, Norma, Ryan and David Jr.

And numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

His sister, Evalee Houtz and

Brothers: Troy Ford, James Files and Larry Files.
