Danny Lee Wheeler

Danny Lee Wheeler, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, December 21, 2018 at his home in Chickasha, OK at the age of 78.  He was born April 1, 1940 in Wellington, Texas to Alburn Wilson and Geneva Mae (Coggen).

Danny graduated from Chickasha High School in 1958 and enlisted into the United States Air Force that September and served until March of 1966.  He married Marie Brandenburg on September 16, 1961.

He began with the Chickasha Police Department in 1966 and retired in 1987 as a Major and Assistant Police Chief.  He served as a court bailiff for a year and drove a truck for Richard Hart for eight years.

Danny was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police.

He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

Danny is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marie Wheeler;

Daughter, Selina Ann Miracle;

Son, Tim Wheeler;

Grandchildren: Misti Marie Middleton, Joshua Lee Wheeler, Cody Lee Couch, Kayla Irick, Lauren Wheeler, Raegan Wheeler, Jonathan Miracle and Jessica Perales

14 ½ Great Grandchildren;

Brother, Jimmie D. Wheeler, and

Sister, Georgia Ann Burt.
