Daniel Dixon Houtz, of Cement, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, June 15, 2018 at his home near Cement at the age of 72. He was born June 15, 1946 in Cyril, Oklahoma to Forest Ivan and Ethel "Oleta" Houtz.
Daniel lived in the Cement/Cyril area most of his life and served in the U.S. Army. He married Evalee Ford on August 12, 1972 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He had worked for P & A Chevrolet in Lawton as an auto mechanic. He had also worked for Joes Auto Center in Cyril, Bauman Buick in Chickasha and drove school bus for Verden and Pioneer schools.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Forest and Oleta Houtz; 3 brothers: Jack, David and Joe Houtz and a niece Gina Houtz.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Evalee Houtz of Cement, OK;
Children: Jani Houtz of Cement, OK;
Amber Doughty and her husband, Brian, of Cement, OK;
Sonja Dee Higgins and her husband, Kirk, of Walters, OK;
Grandchildren: Brian Jr., Breeanna and Brailee;
Sister, Lynda Holzheuser and her husband, Chico, of Cyril, OK;
Sister-in-law, Chig Houtz of Cyril, OK;
Brothers-in-law: David Files of Cement, OK;
and Troy and Linda Ford of Cement, OK;
and numerous nieces and nephews.
