Cecil Edward James
passed away on Monday, May 22, 2017 at his home in Chickasha, Oklahoma at the age of 57. He was born February 18, 1960 in Cottage Grove, Oregon to Alvin Leon and Juanita (Tadlock) Hobbs.
Cecil began serving as a minister at the age of 16. He pastored at Mustang Pentecostal Church of God for several years. He served as pastor of Sharon Evangel Pentecostal Church of Tuttle for the last 26 years. He also worked in sales at American Propane in Oklahoma City, OK.
He married Karen Yeager on August 10, 1990 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
He is preceded in death by his father, Alvin Hobbs and his grandparents.
Cecil is survived by his wife, Karen James, of Chickasha, OK;
His mother, Juanita Hobbs of Tuttle, OK;
His daughter, Linda Snider and her husband, Chad, of Chickasha, OK;
Grandchildren: Taylor, Karlie, Colton and Gracie;
Sisters: Carla Thomas and her husband, John, of York, SC;
Diana Morris and her husband, John (Earl), of Saint Jo, TX;
Martie Batt and her husband, Rick, of Wilson, OK;
Brothers: Alvin Hobbs and his wife, Melissa, of Blanchard, OK;
Michael Hobbs of Kingston, OK;
and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
He considered his church his family and his church considered him as family.
